Experiences

By now fraLine can look back to seven years of practical experience.
This experience has grown gradually which can be seen from the following chronology:
fraLine - timeline:
| 2001 | fraLine – IT-School-Service is founded as a cooperative project of the city of Frankfurt and the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt. | ||
| 2002 | fraLine starts school support as a pilot project with 4 student employees serving 35 schools. Only one month later and with 8 by then staff members fraLine now supports all municipal schools. | ||
| 2003 | In addition to the basic service fraLine introduces a new service segment, the PlusS [Plus-Service. Initially, the additional service was only available for special and secondary schools (German Gymnasium). By now all school types are entitled to request this routine support providing regular service appointments and dedicated fraLine contact persons. | ||
| 2003 | Due to an additional agreement fraLine now assists the local education authority with IT support for school administrations (agreement terminates in fall 2008). | ||
| 2004 | In November, fraLine starts offering training courses for IT representatives. |

| 2005 | In cooperation with the state education authority fraLine starts offering "educational-technical" classroom assistance to all school teachers in Frankfurt needing help with media projects in class. | ||
| 2007 | In August, fraLine launches its self-developed helpdesk system fraDesk. In March 2008 the fraDesk was presented at the CeBIT. |

| 2008 | Out of 1500 competitors fraLine is selected and awarded by the initiative „Germany-Land of Ideas“ as a „landmark in the land of ideas“. |

| 2009 | fraLine hosts the first fraMediale15´- a fair and expert conference on the use of digital media in educational contexts |
