Participation Requirements for Schools and Conditions for a Troublefree and Quick Support

play_button_blau_2To use our service school principals only have to sign a service agreement [PDF, 36 kB, only in German] which is concluded through the agency of the local school maintaining body ("Stadtschulamt") forwarding the data to fraLine. For the schools no costs are incurred. For more information on the registration procedure see below.

foto_servicevereinbarungThe principal of every school planning to use the fraLine service appoints one to three IT representatives in the service agreement form. These can be teachers, motivated parents or students depending on how the school has organized its IT support so far.

The appointed IT representatives collect and pool IT requests and problem reports internally and forward them to fraLine as their central point of contact.
Since IT representatives pre-sort all necessary information internally, multiple reports of the same problem or request are avoided. The IT representatives appointed in the service agreement are central contact persons for our employees for telephone queries or during on-site-appointments. Moreover, you receive our eMail newsletter, which appears only a few times a year and summarizes the news on IT-support in schools focusing on regional developments in Frankfurt. You may subscribe to receive the news via Rss feed.

By signing the service agreement the principal and the school accept the service conditions and the exclusion of services as listed in our flyer [PDF, 1,1 MB, only in German]. Among other things, the service conditions require schools to present an IT concept and a computer equipment inventory.
The school forwards these documents directly to the municipal education authority. Likewise, the service agreement reaches fraLine via the school maintaining body ("Stadtschulamt"). Thus, the school maintaining body has the opportunity to control receipt or availability of the required documents.

Schools are obliged to provide and update an equipment and software inventory. When fraLine employees are asked to install software the school must be in possession of the required licences and be able to prove it if necessary. Hardware components have to be made available by the school. A certain part of the school´s budget should be reserved for spare parts and hardware repairs. We will be glad to advise you on all aspects of spare parts or procurement.

A current version of an anti-virus program should be available on all computers being used or at least should be installed as soon as possible. The school maintaining body ("Stadtschulamt") provides free virus scanner licences for alle school computers. Needless to say, we shall gladly assist you in installing them.

If the school possesses a building network it should be willing to apply the Frankfurt school standard.

In the service agreement the principal appoints the school’s IT representatives. Besides their names other contact details such as telephone, mobile or fax numbers as well as eMail-addresses are forwarded to us in the service agreement form in order to be able to maintain contact with each other.

Moreover, the service agreement form, which is filled out by the principal, transmits the desired login details for our helpdesksystem fraDesk (webbased trouble-ticket-system) to fraLine. More information about the fraDesk you will find under "fraDesk", in our FAQ or by clicking on "help" after login to the fraDesk.

Once the municipal education authority has forwarded the service agreement to fraLine, we register all new IT representatives with their login details as users at our helpdesk. To rule out possible transmission errors newly appointed IT representatives immediately receive a registration confirmation via eMail in order to be able to re-check their transmitted data.

After receiving the confirmation your school is entiteled to receive fraLine service. Additionally, you have access to all fraLine documentation by means of the helpdesksystem fraDesk.
